Statins- adverse effects and how to reduce the adverse effects caused?

I want information on adverse effects of statins. if the effects exist in a person how to irradicate them?

1. i took crestor for years then i started to get cramps in my leg the DR said it could be the crestor to stop taking it i did and the cramps went away it also made my liver test high
2. All drugs have side effects, so expecting not to have side effects would certainly be futile.
